Another Spencer Sherman
Yes, I was curious about another human being with the same name, but the bigger reason for our meeting was to offer him money for his website and its domain: www.SpencerSherman.com. I brought up my interest and joked that my business partner was afraid I'd pay him $1 million for the site, and Spencer Sherman stopped, thought and said, "I might consider a million dollars, but just for a moment. Money doesn't mean much to me and I'm enjoying my website."
How unusual to find someone who doesn't equate self-worth with net worth, who isn't willing to sell his joy for money and who isn't obedient to the call of money as a well-trained dog to its master.
I recall so many instances when I sold enjoyable, precious private time just to make an extra buck. I believed then that, as long as the price was right, you were supposed to sell your joy for money. I let my money madness override the true value of happiness.
I've gotten much better at keeping my money monster from running the show, but it's still a practice. With practice, each of us can dissolve the money madness and see the value of life beyond money. The other Spencer Sherman's peaceful connection to his own happiness over riches inspired a deeper inquiry into my own money madness, and how I can continue to transcend it. Indeed, sometimes we can see in others exactly what we want to cultivate in ourselves.

Help

I hear Ü, dear Spencer…
On the other hand, my “money monster” has been tamed and quiet at the slightest provocation.
Now, I've discovered that the time is here and we are the people to make it happen… Can't wait for it is NOW that we are to blossom to the max of our capabilities, emotional, intelectual and physical.
It's NOW that we are to accept illimited richness in every stage and level. Only then can we be fully caring. Fully phylantropists -as our heart commands!
The good news is I've (probably you too ; ) met mostly very happy-ready-to-help people amongst those who best play the “money game”.
I want to open the though of duality, and choose to think that there is not either happiness or… money. I want them both!!!… For me, and for all the many in my life (and outside my life ; )… Like abundance is a given right of birth, If I may, I invite myself, you, my fellow person, and all others alive to claim it AND ACCEPT it!…With love, gratefulness and generosity : )
Thank you for bringing the thought, Spencer : )
Always love, light and laughter;
Leticia : )
Hi spencer …came here from michael's blog. I have seen a lot of struggle around the issue of money…seeing very poor people happy without money and very wealthy unhappy and stressed with lot of money. I have personally given up pursuit of money for pursuit of happy life and I would not sell my site…my life and joy… for a million bucks.
Money inspired a deep inquiry within me …how can we all live in peace for the greatest enjoyment and pusuit of LIFE than pusuit of making money…or making a living?

Hey Spencer Sherman,
I'm glad I came onto this site because I've been worrying a lot about money lately and this is just the thing I needed: to see money from another point of view. Money really does take you over sometimes and I think that I have been letting money in the way of my true happiness for a long time. Thank you for opening my eyes. Maybe I could pass this message onto others.
Another vote for what a nice guy Dr. Spencer Sherman is: he posted a link to your site at the bottom of his home page–just in case someone stumbles on him accidentally.
